Nicklaus McHendry
Social Justice Peer Educator
Bio: My name is Nicklaus McHendry and I am Comparative Ethnic Studies major in my senior year at WSU. I grew up in a small town 30 minutes outside Olympia, Washington, and graduated from South Puget Sound Community College with a dual high school diploma and AA in 2016. My research interests include environmental racism, post-9/11 security philosophy, and intersectional justice in the race against climate change. As a social justice educator and facilitator, I hope to help create a more progressive campus for WSU that moves beyond tolerance to equity and true inclusion for marginalized groups in a time of great tension for many members of our local and national community. Outside of work and class, I enjoy tabletop gaming, e-sports, and digital art.
