Social Justice Peer Educators

Job Overview

Social Justice Peer Educators (SJPEs) are tasked with developing and implementing educational programs, such as workshops, panels, and other multimedia projects, for their undergraduate peers. These educational initiatives are meant to create a more equitable WSU and world. The entire SJPE program is a multilayered transformative educational program whereby the SJPEs undergo extensive social justice leadership development and mentorship, which supports them in building an affirming community and also guides them in developing social justice educational programs for their peers at WSU.

Social Justice Education Grad Staff Assistant

Job Overview

Assist staff in development, implementation, administration and evaluation of SJPE, outreach education and CESJ Pillar efforts, which may include distribution of program promotional materials and collaboration with marketing team; Website support; Provide the Coordinator with Social Justice Peer Educators program/project management assistance, assist with program evaluation and assessment, and provide targeted equity and inclusion outreach support to ensure effective workshops/programs and to actively work toward the expansion of the program.

Details

You MUST be a current graduate student at the time of appointment in order to be eligible. This position will include monthly stipend and tuition waiver per semester, and requires an average of 20 hours per week.
